Winter/Spring Hatchery Steelhead

Come fish the mighty Cowlitz River with us for these hard fighting hatchery Steelhead. These Jet sled trips and side drifting will be the go-to technique. The first run hatchery fish shows up around the second week of November and fishing stays good through the first week of December. Then we have a idle period until about the first March. Once March rolls around its game on! The spring hatchery fish are mean and aggressive and they want to test you. This is a action packed fishery that you don't want to miss out on.

Summer Steelhead

Come join GNWR on the Columbia River chasing summer steelhead June through August. This is our most action packed fishery. With literally hundreds of steelhead swimming under your boat a day. You can't beat summer days with 10-40 hook ups a day. We catch these fish right out of the saltwater and they are ready to test you. We anchor fish with plugs, spinners and bait.


Summer Chinook

Come join us on the Columbia River chasing Summer Chinook. These fish will test your stamina and are the hardest fighters pound for pound. We target these fish anchor fishing with kwikfish and spinners. The summer chinook are bigger than their springer cousins. They average right in the twenty pound ball park, and taste just like a springer. This is a good fishery to get the family out to experience one of Washington's meanest fish.
